The museum lies in the heart of the oldest part of Amsterdam, in the centre of the famous, and infamous, red light district. Every year countless tourists visit the area, and many also come to see Our Lord in the Attic. Along with the locals from Amsterdam as many as 65,000 people visited the museum in 2010. During restoration, the museum remains open
